Nečitelná kniha udělá radost sběratelům umění a bibliofilům.
Její originální rukopis vytvořil Marian Palla v roce 1980 a byl až
do svého nynějšího vydání v držení autora. Celkem čítá volných 400
listů tuhého papíru o rozměrech 33,5 x 24 cm. Listy jsou
oboustranně "popsány" a důsledně ručně paginovány v pravém spodním
rohu. Editoři knihy ve shodě s autorem se rozhodli reprodukovat
knihu v plném rozsahu bez jakýchkoli dodatečných zásahů. Nečitelná
kniha představuje radikální ukázku autorovy práce s textem ve
smyslu jeho významové i formální negace. To, co se na první pohled
jeví být záznamem ručně psaným latinskou abecedou, je ve
skutečnosti druhem výtvarné kaligrafie. Kniha vyšla v limitovaném
nákladu 200 kusů, z toho v prodeji je pouze 50
číslovaných a signovaných autorem.

The Illegible Book will make both collectors of art and
bibliophiles happy. Its original manuscript was created by Marián
Palla in 1980 and until its present publication was in the
possession of the author. Altogether it contains 400 sheets of
stiff paper sized 33.5 x 24 cm. The sheets are written over on both
sides and are consistently manually paginated in the bottom right
corner. The book's editors decided, in agreement with the author,
to reproduce the book in full without any additional interventions.
The Illegible Book represents a radical example of the artist's
work with text in the sense of the negation of its meaning and
form. What at first glance seems to be a record manually written in
the Latin alphabet is actually a kind of art calligraphy. The book
has been published in a limited edition of 200 copies, of which 50
that are on sale have been numbered and signed by the author
